Titebond Liquid Hide Glue is a ready-to-use liquid hide glue for traditional woodworking applications where a reversible bond is essential. Unlike PVA wood glues, hide glue joints can be disassembled with heat and moisture -- a critical requirement for antique restoration, instrument repair, and traditional furniture construction where future disassembly for repair is planned. The extended open time (up to 10 minutes) allows complex assemblies without rushed clamping. Available at Windsor Plywood locations.

Pro Tips
- Hide glue is the correct choice for instrument repair, antique furniture restoration, and hammer veneering -- anywhere future disassembly is anticipated. For permanent joints, standard Titebond Wood Glue is stronger.
- For the decorative crackle finish technique: apply a coat of hide glue over a contrasting base coat, then immediately apply a latex topcoat. The hide glue causes the topcoat to crack as it dries, revealing the base colour through the cracks.
- Store at room temperature. Unlike PVA glue, hide glue gels in cold conditions. If it thickens, warm gently in a warm water bath to restore flow.
